Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania – Elizabethtown Campus is seeking a Part-Time Transportation Dispatcher to coordinate resident transportation on Saturdays and Sundays and support daily shuttle operations.

You will schedule requests, communicate with drivers, maintain logs, and ensure safe, timely transport in line with campus policies. Weekend shifts require calm, organized multitasking and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Driver's License preferred (must possess a valid driver's license to assist in campus transportation)
• Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation requests for residents, staff, in accordance with established transportation policies and procedures.
• Receive, prioritize, and accurately document transportation requests, including destination, appointment time, pickup location, mobility needs, and special accommodations.
• Develop and maintain daily transportation schedules and assign trips to drivers and vehicles based on availability, timing, vehicle capacity, and passenger needs.
• Communicate changes or concerns to appropriate supervisors and assist with resolving transportation-related issues.

What You'll Do As a Transportation Dispatcher

As a Transportation Dispatcher you will carry out our Mission of Love by communicating the transportation requests of Masonic Village's residents.

Our Transportation Dispatcher Is Responsible For The Following

• Coordinate and schedule transportation requests for residents, staff, in accordance with established transportation policies and procedures.
• Receive, prioritize, and accurately document transportation requests, including destination, appointment time, pickup location, mobility needs, and special accommodations.
• Develop and maintain daily transportation schedules and assign trips to appropriate drivers and vehicles based on availability, timing, vehicle capacity, and passenger needs.
• Communicate effectively with drivers regarding schedules, route changes, passenger needs, cancellations, and other operational updates.
• Monitor transportation activities throughout the day and make timely adjustments to address delays, cancellations, emergencies, or unexpected changes.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and proactively resolve issues to minimize service disruptions.
• Maintain knowledge of transportation policies, procedures, routes, facility locations, and community resources.
• Communicate changes or concerns to appropriate supervisors and assist with resolving transportation-related issues.
• Use transportation scheduling software, telephone systems, email, and other technology/documentation required to perform dispatcher duties.
• Follow established safety procedures and promptly report accidents, incidents, vehicle concerns, or other safety issues.
• Maintain a calm and organized approach while managing multiple requests, changing priorities, and time-sensitive transportation needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of transportation & mail services.
• Provides professional phone and communication support by answering incoming calls, assisting drivers with route and scheduling inquiries, relaying operational information, and documenting service concerns, delays, and incidents, as needed.
• Supports daily transportation operations through driver coordination, problem resolution, administrative recordkeeping, dispatch assistance, and adherence to company policies and safety standards, as needed.
• Maintain schedule flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
• *Ability to operate the shuttle to assist in campus transportation

What You Need As a Transportation Dispatcher
