Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil/Transportation Engineering degree, junior or senior.
• Interest in transportation design and infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and plans for roadways, highways, trails, and related infrastructure.
• Support engineers with design calculations, cost estimates, traffic analyses.
• Prepare reports, specifications, permits, and other project docs.
• Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with design standards.
• Participate in meetings, site visits, and data collection activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, planners, and other disciplines.
• Support project coordination, research, and design alternatives.
• Learn transportation design standards and project delivery processes.
• Assist with use of industry software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads.
• Contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation systems.
