Job summary

HDR is seeking a Roadway Engineering Intern in Minnesota. You will assist with standard engineering tasks, learn local design requirements, and perform plan production with supervision from a Professional Engineer or Project Manager.

You will gain exposure to Microstation Open Roads and AutoCAD Civil 3D while engaging with mentors and HDR leaders. As an HDR intern, you’ll join a culture that values inclusion and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Become familiar with local and state design requirements.
• Perform design calculations, plan production, cost estimates and quality control reviews under supervision.
• Learn and utilize Microstation Open Roads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Engage with mentors and young professionals within HDR's network.
• Perform other duties as needed.
