Job summary

WSP USA in Seattle is offering a Transportation Intern position as part of the Summer Internship Program. This temporary role provides hands-on experience by supporting the Civil Transportation team on real projects under senior staff guidance.

The internship runs 12 weeks, starting May 17, 2027, with current undergrad/grad students eligible. It emphasizes developing technical, social, and ethical skills through research, field work, and preliminary design tasks, with no relocation or housing

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering with expected graduation after Dec 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication; safety aware.
• Capable of taking direction from mentors to complete projects.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering tasks to develop technical and professional skills.
• Learn basic principles of Transportation Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete assigned training and adhere to company policies.
