Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Transportation Group. The position offers flexibility to work from any Apex office or hybrid arrangements, with projects from planning to design and construction for highways and urban roadways.

The candidate should have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of highway design, and proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• MN or ND Professional Engineer license preferred or able to be licensed within 6–12 months.
• 5+ years highway/roadway design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation Connect.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional civil engineering services for highway/urban roadway projects from planning through design and construction.
• Delegate and supervise tasks to CAD Technicians and engineers on the project team.
• Communicate updates and progress to supervisors and project managers through all project phases.
• Attend project and client meetings regularly and participate in interviews for business development.
