Zusammenfassung

Apex Engineering Group is seeking a Design Engineer in the Transportation Group. The position is flexible and can be performed from any Apex office or hybrid. You will join highway and urban roadway projects from planning through design and construction.

The role involves leading design tasks, mentoring CAD staff, meeting clients, and potentially advancing to Project Manager. Strong communication, detail orientation, and knowledge of OpenRoads/MicroStation are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• ND or MN Professional Engineer license preferred or ability to be licensed within 6–12 months.
• 5+ years of highway/roadway design experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MNDOT or NDDOT design and project development process preferred.
• Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation Connect; corridor modeling is highly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide professional civil engineering services for planning, design, specifications, plans, reports, construction observation and project management.
• Delegate and supervise project tasks to CAD Technicians, Graduate Engineers and Field Technicians.
• Communicate with supervisors and project managers on updates through all project phases.
• Attend company, project, and client meetings regularly.
• Contribute to proposals and participate in interviews; assist in business development as experience grows.
• Role may lead to Project Manager and Client Manager, including budgeting responsibilities.
