Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward embedded in the Transportation Business Group to define and govern how data is captured, structured, and reused across projects. This leadership role focuses on enabling data-driven decisions and scalable data practices rather than being an IT or compliance specialist.

You will coordinate with SMEs and technical authorities to align workflows, promote data fluency, and support HDR's data strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least 10 years of strategic leadership experience in data-centric solutions.
• Experience building and leading diverse teams and change management.
• Ability to work with leaders across functions to align data practices.
• Committed to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Define and coordinate Transportation data standards and governance across HDR's Transportation BG.
• Develop business-aligned data definitions supporting models, reporting, automation, and AI use cases.
• Build consensus around data processes, priority, and use with SMEs and technical authorities.
• Promote responsible use of data including access, quality, and reuse across projects.
