Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward to lead the development and governance of data definitions across the Transportation Business Group. This embedded, leadership-focused role coordinates SMEs and technical authorities to standardize data practices across disciplines and service lines.

You will influence how data is defined, reused, and supported in project delivery, enabling better decisions and scalable analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical or business field.
• Minimum of 10 years of strategic leadership experience.
• Fifteen years of experience providing diverse data-centric solutions and services.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders, operations managers, and marketing managers.
• Committed to HDR values and active participation in employee-owned culture.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of data standards, practices, and tools across the Transportation BG.
• Coordinate with Transportation Technology Director to align data workflows with strategy.
• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise to define technical standards.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key engineering terms.
• Regularly communicate with Data Stewards and Enterprise Data teams.
• Ensure data definitions translate into data models and AI tools.
