Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward embedded in the Transportation Business Group. This leadership role defines data standards, coordinates SME expertise, and enables repeatable data practices across projects.

You will drive data glossary adoption, align workflows with strategy, and coach teams toward consistent, trustworthy analytics while supporting AI and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Resources engineering industry and leading diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with leaders, operations managers, marketing managers, and other executives.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise across the Transportation Business Group to define technical standards and align with enterprise expectations.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions supporting structured data models, reporting, automation, and AI use cases.
• Promote data quality, governance, access, and reuse across projects and teams.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards, practices, and tools across the Transportation BG.
• Regularly collaborate with Enterprise Data Science Teams and Data Operations staff.
• Ensure new tools and data workflows align to the Transportation BG strategy.
