Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to manage transportation services for guests and employees at Big Cedar Lodge. You will coordinate and schedule transportation, ensuring timely, safe, and seamless mobility across the property and with onsite teams.

Role requires 1–2 years in transportation coordination or dispatch, plus strong written and verbal communication abilities. This full-time position offers a benefits package and travel up to 25% locally.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transportation services for guests and employees, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
  • Oversee scheduling of transportation services, ensuring vehicles and drivers are allocated and available.
  • Monitor transportation operations and address issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and daily logs and trip reports.
  • Collaborate with front desk and housekeeping to coordinate transportation across the property.
  • All other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all transportation activities withing the department and ensuring that guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience for the duration of their stay.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinates transportation services for guests and employees, ensuring timely and efficient transportation to and from various locations.
  • Oversee the scheduling of transportation services, ensuring that vehicles and drivers are properly assigned and available as needed.Communicates proactively and works with onsite teams at any Big Cedar property to resolve concerns, keep consistent information and maintain up to date collaboration strategies
  • Monitor transportation operations and address any issues or challenges that may arise, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transportation activities, including daily logs and trip reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and housekeeping, to ensure smooth coordination of transportation services throughout the property.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Years of experience: 1-2 years in transportation coordination or dispatch
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
  • Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Basic Computer Skills - Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.).
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography, and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Analytical/Critical Thinking - The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data; examine data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions; generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems.
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Number Facility - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Up to 25% local travel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly sits and does computer work.

Occasionally stands and walks.

Seldom/never lifts up to 50 lbs.
