Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Full-time Transportation Driver to cover schedule Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, serving residents with safe, reliable vehicle transport and logistics support.

Responsibilities include operating community vehicles, updating the transportation management system, assisting residents, and coordinating with the Entertainment & Programming team. Strong driving history and resident-care mindset required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21+ with 3+ years of licensed driving experience.
• Valid state Driver’s License and clean MVR required.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for residents during scheduled hours, including designated medical days.
• Safely operate community vehicles to transport residents for medical, recreational, and personal needs.
• Enter and manage transportation requests in the digital transportation system and maintain accurate schedules.
• Maintain vehicle readiness with routine inspections and ensure cleanliness and fuel levels.
• Support Entertainment & Programming teams with outings while following safety protocols.
• Perform non-driving duties during downtime, including programming and interdepartmental support.

Schedule

Full-time, Tuesday - Saturday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours, including, but not limited to, coverage of designated medical transportation days (Tuesday and Thursday).
• Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to residents.
• Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
• Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
• During non-driving hours, provide community support as needed, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks, maintaining consistent productivity throughout scheduled work hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
• Must have a valid state Driver’s License (Class E in Missouri) and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.
• Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.
