Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Transportation Coordinator (Driver) to deliver a reliable, resident-focused transportation program within the community. The role covers driving, coordinating schedules, communicating with residents, and supporting operational tasks.

Responsibilities include operating community vehicles, managing transportation requests, maintaining vehicle readiness, and assisting with outings and events while upholding safety and accessibility for older adults.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
• Must have a valid state Driver’s License (Class E in Missouri) and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.
• Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.

• Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
• During non-driving hours, provide community support as needed, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks, maintaining consistent productivity throughout scheduled work hours.
• Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
