Job description

Position: Full-Time Driver

Century Park Associates has a new opportunity for a Full-Time Driver working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; occasional weekends will be required. Must have Class B - CDL.

The ideal candidate will be outgoing and passionate about serving seniors. You will join a high-energy, dynamic, and professional team in the growing senior housing industry.

Position Summary

The Transportation Coordinator/Driver loads, transports, and unloads residents safely for personal errands, medical appointments, and activity outings, adhering to all laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. Reports to the Lifestyles Services Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with P endorsement in current state and a satisfactory driving record
• Prior experience with seniors preferred

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Deliver transportation services in a pleasant manner for residents’ enjoyment
• Transport residents safely and timely to community activities and personal appointments
• Assist residents with boarding and disembarking, especially those with special needs
• Demonstrate safe driving techniques to protect residents
• Track mileage in vehicle logs
• Maintain receipts for vehicle expenses
• Write charge slips for billable transportation
• Respond proactively to prevent resident injuries during transport
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance (fluid levels, oil changes, tire checks)
• Maintain vehicle maintenance logs
• Report non-routine maintenance needs to the Executive Director for approval
• Keep vehicle interior and exterior clean and safe
• Represent the community professionally during outings and appointments
• Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute events
• Comply with all DOT standards for drivers of vehicles over 10,001 lbs

Additional Requirements

• Complete pre-inspections before vehicle use
• Monitor vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations)
• Make independent decisions when necessary
• Provide excellent customer service and hospitality
• Demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including transportation, resident rights, safety, and sanitation
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information
• Follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
• Resolve complaints graciously
• Maintain proper attire and grooming
• Adhere to Century Park’s Code of Ethics and complete required compliance training
