Alongside a manager who will help coordinate and lead operations, you’ll help oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and assist where needed. **Job Responsibilities**

  1. Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes).
  2. Direct daily activities.
  3. Maintain food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.
  4. Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free storage of food items.
  5. Maintain serving schedules; ensure all food items are served per menu specifications following policies and procedures.
  6. Maintain a sanitary department complying with health and safety codes and regulations.
  7. Maintain accurate inventory weekly.
  8. Prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production.
  9. Supervise, evaluate, and counsel employees; promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
  10. Maintain a safe working environment.
  11. Train and mentor food service workers.
  12. Keep logs of maintenance on equipment.
  13. Complete food safety/temperature logs with corrective actions as necessary.
  14. Perform preventative maintenance checks.
  15. Recommend equipment replacements to meet facility needs.
  16. Proficiency in multi-tasking.
  17. Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager.
  18. Fill in for absent employees as needed.
  19. Stay informed about catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery.
  20. Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
  21. Attend staff meetings.
  22. Maintain communication with staff via email, phone, and inter-office mail.
  23. Perform cashier duties if needed.
  24. Promote good public relations.
  25. Lift up to 40 lbs.
  26. Maintain sanitation logs, perform general cleaning, and receive products according to standards.

**Qualifications**

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Complete a sanitation course before or during the first year.
  • Knowledge of operating an efficient, cost-effective program.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Resolve interpersonal situations effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • At least 3 years of prior supervisory experience.
  • Work hours: 5am - 1:30pm, Monday - Friday.
  • Serve Safe Manager Certification required or obtainable within 45 days of employment.
