BriteLife Recovery seeks a Transportation Coordinator to manage logistics and ensure effective communication between staff and drivers across multiple locations. This role involves scheduling transportation requests, maintaining compliance, and assisting with fleet management. Position Summary:
The Transportation Coordinator supports the day-to-day logistics of transportation services across all BriteLife Recovery locations. This role ensures smooth communication between site-level staff, PRN drivers, and the Central Transportation Manager to coordinate admissions, discharges, off-site appointments, and other transport needs. The Coordinator also tracks scheduling, documentation, and vehicle utilization to promote efficient, client-centered transportation services.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate daily transportation requests from multiple BriteLife locations via centralized scheduling tools.
· Maintain up-to-date schedules and dispatch PRN drivers accordingly.
· Serve as a liaison between admissions, clinical teams, and drivers to ensure timely and accurate trip execution.
· Track and log all transportation activities including trip reports, vehicle usage, and mileage.
· Monitor real-time schedules to address delays or last-minute changes.
· Ensure that all drivers maintain compliance with documentation (licenses, certifications, background checks).
· Assist with fleet management needs, such as maintenance reminders, mileage tracking, and vehicle availability.
· Escalate any safety, incident, or compliance concerns to the Central Transportation Manager.
· Generate weekly transportation reports and KPI summaries.
· Assist with onboarding and communication for new PRN drivers across sites.
Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics, operations, or healthcare coordination.
· 2+ years of administrative or dispatch experience (preferably in a healthcare setting).
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficient in scheduling software, Microsoft Office Suite, and cloud-based tools.
· Knowledge of HIPAA and transportation best practices preferred.
Work Environment & Expectations:
· May work remotely or from a corporate office, with occasional travel to facilities as needed.
· On-call availability may be required during peak admissions/discharges.
· Must maintain discretion and confidentiality in all client-related matters.
