Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) in Newark, NJ, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead transportation construction projects in both office and field settings. You will oversee documentation, schedules, and client/contractor coordination, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

The ideal candidate has a NJ PE license, a minimum of eight years in construction and two years in project management, and familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and/or Construction/Engineering related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey required.
• Minimum of 8 years of construction related experience and 2 years of Project Management experience.
• Experience performing construction inspection on Civil Engineering projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office preferred but not required.
• Candidate should be motivated, organized, and willing to work in the office and field.

Responsibilities

• Manage project documentation and controls, including pay estimates, submittals, shop drawings, RFI’s, and change orders.
• Manage multiple transportation-related construction projects at once.
• Review, track, and markup Construction Schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Lead project meetings with clients, contractors, and project teams to review progress, address issues, and coordinate next steps.
• Interface with clients and contractors.
