Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience inspecting design/construction/maintenance in streets, drainage, water/sewer, or bridges.
• Associates degree in construction management or engineering with 1 year of required experience meets qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Conducts inspections to determine compliance with safety, codes, and ordinances.
• Issues notices of violation and follows up for corrections.
• Inspects contractor projects for conformity to standards.
• Interacts with engineers, contractors, and agencies to ensure specs are met.
• Plans inspection routes, documents findings, and prepares pass/fail reports.
• Maintains updated materials records and verifies contractor quantities for payment.
• Provides general customer service and communicates with project stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
