Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Four years of experience inspecting streets, drainage, water/sewer, facilities or bridges.
• Equivalency: Associate degree (or higher) plus two years of required experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections on public works projects to verify compliance with codes and standards.
• Issue notices of violation and follow up inspections to ensure corrections.
• Inspect diverse construction projects for paving, utilities, and standards conformity.
• Oversee other inspectors and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and agencies.
• Plan inspection routes, document findings, and prepare pass/fail reports.
