Mackin Engineers & Consultants is seeking a seasoned Transportation Construction Inspector 3 (TCI-3) in our Pittsburgh, PA office. This position requires extensive experience in construction inspection, particularly with roadway and bridge projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform detailed inspections of infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
• Document findings and communicate necessary changes to construction crews and project managers.
• Maintain proficiency with inspection tools and equipment.
• Monitor contractor performance to meet scope, time, and cost constraints.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to upgrade certifications and knowledge.
• Travel to project sites as required, with up to 75% travel.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience.
• High school diploma; Associates or Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of Electronic Construction Management Systems (ECMS) and PennDOT standards.
• Experience with Deltek Ajera, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Desired certifications include: EIT/FE, PE, NICET Highway Construction, among others.
