Our Pittsburgh Construction Management Team is seeking inspectors to support PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike projects.This position does not qualify for employer sponsorship, except for TN visa classification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify levels, alignments, and elevations of structures, fixtures, grades, and pavement to ensure adherence to plans and codes.
• Gather and maintain record documents.
• Make field notes and perform computations.

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Client-requested certifications.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Active driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Must pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted with experience).
• 1-4 years of construction inspection experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Client-requested certifications.
