Our Pittsburgh Construction Management Team is seeking inspectors for PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike assignments. This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship, except for TN visa classification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify levels, alignments, and elevations of structures, fixtures, grades, and pavements to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
• Gather and maintain record documents.
• Make field notes and perform computations.

Non-essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Client-requested certifications.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Active driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted with experience).
• 1-4 years of construction inspection experience.

Preferred Experience

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Additional client-requested certifications.
