In this role, you will inspect all aspects of transportation construction activities. Responsibilities include verifying grades, elevations, and layout of structures and roadways in collaboration with contractors and surveyors. You will oversee the proper placement of materials such as cement concrete, bituminous concrete, and drainage components. Conduct visual non-movement compaction testing on sub-surface strata, soils, and aggregates. You will also engage with Department personnel, federal, state, and local agencies, legislators, and the public to ensure project success.
