In this position, you will be responsible for verifying the precision of all testing procedures in accordance with Pennsylvania Test Method (PTM) protocols and relevant standards set by the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). You will also ensure the correctness of laboratory reports. Additionally, you will monitor shipments to confirm that the quality of delivered materials complies with specifications, ensuring that weigh slips accurately reflect the quantities shipped.
Daily responsibilities include ensuring transportation projects adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Support is available for evaluating project materials at construction sites and district offices, either on-site or remotely. This involves verifying records for compliance with source approvals, certification requirements, quantities, and sampling/testing standards. Equipment calibration from both the Department and vendors, including scales and testing instruments, is also confirmed. Further, product design procedures are assessed, and hands-on Local Acceptance (HOLA) testing is conducted as necessary.

Special Requirement: Possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
