Job summary

Depot Connect International is seeking a Manager of Transportation Compliance to lead our FMCSA and related regulatory compliance across the organization. You will oversee audits, respond to inspections, and drive safety programs while maintaining knowledge of HOS, driver qualifications, vehicle maintenance, ELD, and CSA scores.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field with a decade in transportation compliance, plus leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Logistics, Business, Legal Studies, or related field.
• 10 years of progressive experience in transportation compliance and safety management.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership or executive role.
• Extensive knowledge of FMCSA regulations CSA IFTA IRP HAZMAT and other compliance areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and lead a comprehensive DOT compliance strategy aligned with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee audits, inspections, and investigations by federal and state agencies; ensure timely response and resolution.
• Maintain current knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules including Hours of Service, driver qualification, vehicle maintenance, ELD, and safety reporting (CSA scores).
• Direct company-wide safety programs, driver training, and ongoing compliance education.
• Oversee and manage a team of compliance coordinators.
• Analyze compliance data and metrics to identify risks, trends, and areas for improvement; present findings to executives.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of driver qualification files, vehicle records, and logs per DOT standards.
• Partner with Legal, HR, Operations and Fleet to develop cross-functional compliance policies and risk mitigation plans.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and consultants for fleet and driver compliance.
• Ensure all roadside inspection reports are reviewed, processed, and submitted within regulatory time frames.
