Job summary

AECOM in Chicago is seeking Summer Interns to join the Chicago Transportation Civil Engineering group, working on planning and design for streets, highways, and transit infrastructure improvements. The position begins in May 2027.

Interns will gain hands-on skills beyond academic learning, performing CAD design, design calculations and preparation of plan drawings as part of a broad learning experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least two years of study completed.
• Recent graduates may apply if planning to pursue a Master’s degree.
• Interest in pursuing advanced degree after internship.

Responsibilities

• Internship with the Chicago Transportation Civil Engineering group on streets, highways and transit projects.
