State of Connecticut - DOT Bureau Engineering & Construction is seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to join the Digital Delivery Technology Unit in Newington, CT. The role supports complex design and BIM initiatives, develops 2D/3D models for highway and bridge projects, and coordinates with BIM leaders nationwide to modernize project delivery.

Strong engineering background and collaboration with design and field teams are required.

Formación

• Oversees work of lower level engineers and performs complex design work.
• Designs foundations and bridges of advanced design.
• Makes field inspections to obtain information necessary for design.
• Oversees plans, specifications and cost estimates for projects and assists in coordination with design and contracting engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees work of lower level engineers and performs complex design work.
• Designs foundations and bridges of advanced design.
• Makes field inspections to obtain information necessary for design of important structures.
• Oversees field inspection of structural condition of existing structures and preparation of sketches, plans and recommendations for adequate repair.
