This position includes a Selective Placement Factor (skill - knowledge - ability or other worker characteristics basic to - and essential for - satisfactory performance of the job). Selective Placement Factors are a prerequisite to appointment and represent minimum requirements for a position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the Federal Service - that is directly related to the work of the position and has equipped you with the particular knowledge - skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties as a Transportation Assistant. Specialized experience for this position includes: entering vehicle data and maintaining vehicle records - including fuel use - maintenance history - and accident data; preparing accident reports or damage claims and coordinating repairs with vendors; tracking vehicle usage - mileage - maintenance - and repair costs to identify trends or problems affecting fleet operations; reviewing vehicle-related invoices or billing for accuracy; and ensuring maintenance and cleanliness are managed on all fleet vehicles. NOTE: One (1) full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
