Job Description

PURPOSE

Assist with student management and providing safe transportation for students on assigned buses as directed by the Transportation Supervisor and the bus driver.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma
• Experience to perform assigned duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in loading/unloading studentsand securing seatbelts, wheelchairs, and devices. Use wheelchair lifts as needed.
• Monitor and maintain student behaviorand discipline; explain and reinforce bus rules; report issues.
• Support studentsby answering questions and offering guidance, emotional support, and a friendly attitude.
• Maintain accurate recordsfor students requiring additional attention during transport.
• Address special needsper each student’s Individual Educational Plan (IEP)and Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP).
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet specific needs of the school or unit.
