Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Transport Planner to plan, schedule, and dispatch shipments for the company-owned box truck fleet. You will own daily routes, assign drivers, confirm delivery appointments, and monitor shipments to meet service levels.

You will collaborate with warehouse outbound teams, drivers, and Client Services to ensure loads depart on time with accurate deliveries. Flexible shifts and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation scheduling, dispatch, or route planning.
• Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA hours-of-service rules.
• Ability to multitask under pressure.
• Customer-focused with professional communication.
• Willingness to work overtime and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily outbound shipments for company-owned fleet.
• Create daily/weekly dispatch schedules by delivery windows and geography.
• Assign drivers/vehicles to routes considering capacity and hours.
• Confirm delivery appointments and communicate changes promptly.
• Coordinate with warehouse outbound teams for timely loading.
• Track shipments, re-route as needed, monitor performance.
• Prepare shipping docs and proof of delivery.
• Arrange carrier coverage when volume exceeds fleet.
• Report KPIs like on-time delivery and cost per delivery.
• Support fleet readiness and maintenance tracking.
