Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Transport Planner in Utah to plan, schedule and dispatch outbound shipments with the company-owned box truck fleet. You will own daily routes, assign drivers and vehicles, confirm delivery windows, and track loads to meet service levels.

You’ll coordinate with warehouses, drivers, and Client Services to ensure on-time departures and accurate deliveries. Strong planning, communication, and knowledge of DOT hours-of-service rules are required.

Qualifications

• TMS and/or WMS experience in transportation scheduling, dispatch, or route planning.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements, including hours-of-service rules.
• Ability to perform accurately under stressful conditions.
• Customer-oriented with professional communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to follow instructions, processes and multitask.
• Flexibility to work overtime, holidays and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily outbound shipments and delivery routes for the company-owned box truck fleet.
• Build daily and weekly dispatch schedules, sequencing stops by delivery window, service level, and geography.
• Assign drivers and vehicles to routes, balancing hours-of-service limits, capacity, and availability.
• Confirm delivery appointments with customers and coordinate schedule changes promptly.
• Coordinate with the warehouse outbound team so orders are picked, staged, and loaded on time.
• Track trucks, monitor performance, and re-route or reschedule as needed.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
• Arrange third-party carrier coverage when needed and verify rates and transit times.
• Report transportation KPIs such as on-time delivery and fleet utilization.
• Support fleet readiness by tracking maintenance, DOT inspections, and vehicle availability.
