Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Transport Planner to plan, schedule, and dispatch outbound shipments using the company-owned box truck fleet. You will own daily routes, assign drivers, and coordinate with warehouse outbound teams to ensure loads depart on time and meet service levels.

Work closely with fleet, driver, and Client Services teams to resolve scheduling issues, track performance, and maintain precise shipping documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with TMS/WMS and transportation scheduling.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements, including hours-of-service.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily outbound shipments and routes for company-owned fleet.
• Build daily/weekly dispatch schedules by window, service level, and geography.
• Assign drivers and vehicles, balancing hours-of-service and capacity.
• Confirm delivery appointments; communicate schedule changes promptly.
• Coordinate with warehouse outbound team for on-time loading.
• Track shipments, monitor performance, and re-route when needed.
• Prepare shipping docs including BOLs, packing lists, receipts, POD.
• Arrange third-party carrier coverage when volume exceeds capacity.
• Report KPIs: on-time delivery, fleet utilization, stops per route.
• Support fleet readiness with maintenance, DOT inspections, fuel, availability.
