Qualifications

6 years drafting, design, plan preparation for Transport Engineer Spec I.
7 years drafting, design, plan preparation for Transport Engineer Spec II.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a state vehicle.
Experience with drafting and design of traffic projects.

Responsibilities

Performs advanced and specialized drafting, calculations and design work; performs field work.
Develops graphic presentations with distinctive design features.
Performs traffic engineering design work, analyzes traffic and accident data and recommends solutions.
Prepares field notes, quantity summaries, hydraulic and utility studies and right-of-way maps.
Prepares roadway design, traffic control, lighting, signal, and building plans.
Reviews plans for errors and correlation of plans and specifications.
Trains less experienced technicians.
Writes general notes, specifications and provisions.
