Job summary

The Texas Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Engineer I or II to join the Bryan District TP&D Sections. This role offers hands-on experience in project planning, roadway and bridge design, and culvert analysis that will enhance the Brazos Valley area.

In this position, you will support project managers, perform engineering reviews, and collaborate with various stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on work-life balance, professional development, and holistic wellness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering, transportation engineering or related experience for Transport Engineer I.
• 5+ years for Transport Engineer II; experience can be full-time or prorated part-time.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with resource assignment and schedules.
• Conduct design, computer operations, and plan preparation.
• Coordinate on design schematics and communicate with stakeholders.
• Perform on-site engineering reviews and technical support.
