Job summary

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science as accepted by TX PELS.
- Professional Engineer license required; Texas licensure within six months may be required.
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to drive a state vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate fees, explain scope of work and monitor consultant design contracts.
- Perform complex engineering design work and develop layouts, plans, specs, estimates and contracts.
- Develop and review engineering documents, correspondence, reports and remediation plans.
- Travel to project sites for on-site reviews and technical support.
- Monitor contract progress, verify invoices, and ensure quality of work.
- Review traffic control designs and related roadway elements.
