Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer license required; Texas licensure within six months may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to drive a state vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate fees, explain scope of work and monitor consultant design contracts.
  • Perform complex engineering design work and develop layouts, plans, specs, estimates and contracts.
  • Develop and review engineering documents, correspondence, reports and remediation plans.
  • Travel to project sites for on-site reviews and technical support.
  • Monitor contract progress, verify invoices, and ensure quality of work.
  • Review traffic control designs and related roadway elements.
