An established industry player is seeking an entry-level Project Manager to oversee critical transport engineering projects. This role involves extensive Project Management duties, including standardizing workflows for processes and procedures, extracting and evaluating data, and managing ASR processing and orders with TELCO Vendors across the footprint. Responsibilities include creating assignments, building pathways, and coordinating with various internal and external teams through to completion.
This position specifically acts as a bridge between the transport team and equipment engineers, supporting RFDS review, cross-referencing with Work Orders, and managing uploads and communications via Zing—a workflow platform similar to Fulcrum that supports pictures and descriptions. The role involves high volume, detail-oriented work.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in transport engineering and project management, along with strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. The role involves developing monthly interconnect implementation plans supporting various build targets including macro, in-building, small cell, self-perform/third-party, ODAS, SNAP (Samsung), LS6, 5G, CRAN, VRAN, and MEC.
The transport team handles creating, designing, and issuing CIQs (IP/Ports assignments), engineering new cells, trunks, circuit growth, and managing carrier additions. Understanding Verizon Telecom products such as Native Ethernet, VZON, TLS, Dark Fiber, and Verizon's IOF and OSP Provisioning processes is essential.
You will manage multiple projects, evaluating solutions, and coordinating activities across engineers and workgroups. Key responsibilities include:
