Job summary

Atrium Centers Austinburg Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Transport Driver/CNA to help residents access care. You will alternate between floor CNA duties and transportation tasks, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compassionate care during trips to appointments.

Responsibilities include driving the center van, assisting with daily activities, maintaining records, following infection control protocols, and adhering to the Residents’ Bill of Rights.

Qualifications

• Must have completed STNA course and active state STNA license.
• 25 years of age or older.
• Clean driving record; HS diploma or GED or higher.

What You’ll Do

• Schedule and/or provide transportation for residents to and from appointments

• Assist residents safely during transport and appointments

• Drive center van (similar in size to a minivan)

• Transport a maximum of two patients at a time

• Split duties 50/50 between floor CNA responsibilities and transport driving

• Provide resident care according to an approved Care Plan

• Assist with daily activities, personal care, and resident safety

• Maintain and respond to resident medical record requests

• Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols

• Complete required documentation, including vitals

• Report any violations of the Residents’ Bill of Rights immediately

What You Bring

• Completed STNA course and active state license

• Must be 25 years of age or older

• Clean driving record

• High school diploma or GED

• Medical Records experience in a long-term care setting (preferred)

• ART certification (preferred)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Service-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn

• Positive, can-do attitude and excellent attendance
