Job summary

Brushy Creek Post Acute is seeking a Transport Driver in Greer, SC to assist residents with loading and unloading, transport them to appointments, and maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness. The role offers 17–18 USD per hour, part-time hours, and on-site leadership support 24/7 within a structured, supportive environment.

Ideal candidates are 25 or older, hold a valid DL, and can pass a drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be familiar with GPS and local driving area.
• Pass a drug screen and background check, including driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certified.
• Be flexible with work time to accommodate resident appointments or activities.
• Must be able to lift and transfer up to 75 pounds in a van and demonstrate safe transfer techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with loading and unloading from facility approved vehicles.
• Ensure safe transportation to medical appointments and activities.
• Maintain interior and exterior of facility vehicles and keep maintenance logs.
• Deliver vehicle for regular maintenance and perform basic safety checks.
• Handle any other duties as assigned.

Brushy Creek Post Acute is a beautiful 144-bed skilled nursing facility located next to the hospital in Greer, South Carolina. Our unique campus features 12 cottage‑style homes (12 residents each), each with its own kitchen, as well as gardens and outdoor spaces for residents and staff to enjoy. Your day to day as a transportation driver:

• Assists residents with loading and unloading from facility approved vehicles.
• Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities, resident outings, etc.
• Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport for the residents and to project a positive image in the community
• Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicle for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc.
• All other duties as assigned

An ideal transportation driver:

• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Must have a valid DL and be familiar with GPS and local driving area.
• Pass a drug screen and background check successfully, including driving record
• CPR and First Aide Certified
• Be flexible with work time (in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late)
• Must have training and be able to demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for: Ingress/Egress of Mobile Patients with Van, Transfer of patients into and out of Wheelchair, Properly securing WC bound residents into bays in Vans
• Must be able to lift, transfer and mobilize patient weights of up to 75 pounds by self in confined areas inside Van.
• Must be able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patient base.
