Job summary

Brushy Creek Post Acute is a beautiful skilled nursing facility in Greer, SC, seeking a part-time Transport Driver to safely move residents to appointments and activities. You’ll load and unload residents, keep vehicles clean, and communicate clearly with residents and families.

The role requires a valid driver's license, GPS familiarity, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and the flexibility to adapt to scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid DL and be familiar with GPS and local driving area.
• Pass a drug screen and background check successfully, including driving record CPR and First Aid Certified
• Be flexible with work time (in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late)
• Must have training and be able to demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for ingress/egress of patients in vans
• Must be able to lift, transfer and mobilize patient weights up to 75 pounds by self in confined areas inside a van.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with loading and unloading from facility vehicles.
• Ensure safe transportation of residents to appointments and activities.
• Assist with setting up resident transport appointments and scheduling.
• Communicate with residents and families about transport needs.
• Maintain interior and exterior of facility vehicles for safety and positive image.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance logs and arrange regular servicing.

Transport Driver Brushy Creek Post Acute – Greer, SC $17-18/hr | Part-time

About Us Brushy Creek Post Acute is a beautiful 144-bed skilled nursing facility located next to the hospital in Greer, South Carolina. Our unique campus features 12 cottage-style homes (12 residents each), each with its own kitchen, as well as gardens and outdoor spaces for residents and staff to enjoy. Your day to day as a transportation driver:

• Assists residents with loading and unloading from facility approved vehicles.
• Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities, resident outings, etc.
• Assist with setting up resident transport appointments - making calls to facilitate the scheduling of resident appointments
• Communicating with resident's and their families about transport and appointment needs.
• Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport for the residents and to project a positive image in the community
• Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicle for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc.
• All other duties as assigned

An ideal transportation driver:

• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Must have a valid DL and be familiar with GPS and local driving area.
• Pass a drug screen and background check successfully, including driving record CPR and First Aide Certified
• Be flexible with work time (in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late)
• Must have training and be able to demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for:
• Ingress/Egress of Mobile Patients with Van, Transfer of patients into and out of Wheelchair, Properly securing WC bound residents into bays in Vans
• Must be able to lift, transfer and mobilize patient weights of up to 75 pounds by self in confined areas inside Van.
• Must be able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patient base.
