About the Role

We are looking for a Transport Administrator to join the busy operational team within Dorset Travel. This is a front-line service role where you will work collaboratively with colleagues across Dorset Travel, as well as external partners, to help coordinate and commission transport for a large number of young people and adults across Dorset. Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising effectively with internal teams and external organisations.
  • Using Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office and internal software systems.

  • Supporting the wider team with day-to-day transport administration.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues while also using your own initiative to resolve issues and manage your workload.

This may be extended depending on your progress and confidence in the role. During the initial training period, the role will be fully office-based. Once you are sufficiently trained and able to work independently, the role will move to a hybrid arrangement of approximately three days office-based and two days working remotely per week. During particularly busy periods, there may be a service requirement for the team to work fully office-based, with this typically occurring over the summer in preparation for September.
