Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a Transplant Coordinator Nurse to manage and coordinate care for transplant patients. You will collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement care across the transplant continuum.

The role requires a baccalaureate nursing degree, RN licensure, and BLS, with 1 year of clinical RN experience preferred. Flexibility, leadership, and strong communication are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to unpredictable situations.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
• Coordinators in Transplant must obtain either Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) or Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse (CCTN) credential within three years of hire.
• Recertification must be maintained for the duration of the employee’s tenure in the transplant position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of care for the transplant patient population in collaboration with the patient, caregiver, and multidisciplinary team.
• Assess and plan based on patient status and age-specific needs.
• Provide patient and family education on a consistent basis.
• Demonstrate leadership through community involvement, committee work, and quality improvement activities.
