Job summary

UC Davis Medical Center's Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, seeks a full-time faculty member at Assistant or Associate Professor rank to provide transplant hepatology care, teaching, and research.

Clinical duties include outpatient hepatology consultations, endoscopic procedures, and inpatient service duties; teaching fellows, residents, and medical students; opportunities to participate in program growth and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD, MD/PhD, DO or equivalent degree.
• Board certification/eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Certification in Transplant Hepatology.
• Medical licensure or eligible for licensure in California.
• ACGME accredited fellowship or equivalent experience.
• Teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate level.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive management of patients with advanced liver disease in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Evaluation and management of liver transplant candidates and recipients.
• Collaborative practice with transplant surgeons and multidisciplinary providers.
• Participation in program growth, outreach, quality improvement and strategic development.
• Endoscopic procedures.
• Teaching opportunities with residents, fellows and medical students.
• Research opportunities based on experience and interest.
