University of California, Davis is recruiting a Transplant Hepatologist at Assistant or Associate Professor level in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The role focuses on transplant hepatology care, teaching, and research within a busy division.

The successful candidate will provide outpatient consultations, endoscopic procedures, participate in the inpatient Hepatology/Liver Transplant Service, and mentor trainees while pursuing scholarly activity and extramural funding as appropriate to rank.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MD-PhD or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification/eligibility in Gastroenterology required.
• Certification in Transplant Hepatology preferred.
• Medical licensure or eligibility in California required.
• ACGME accredited fellowship or equivalent experience required.
• Teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide transplant hepatology care including outpatient consultations and endoscopic procedures.
• Share duties of inpatient Hepatology/Liver Transplant Service.
• Supervise consultations and procedures by fellows, residents, and medical students; provide lectures.
• Develop investigator-initiated research, contribute to collaborative science, and pursue scholarly activity.
