Job summary

The University of California, Davis School of Medicine’s Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, invites applications for a full-time Transplant Hepatologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The successful candidate will provide transplant hepatology care, oversee fellows, teach medical trainees, and participate in clinical and translational research.

For Clinical X, ability to obtain extramural funding is desirable; for HSCP, active scholarly

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification/eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Certification in Transplant Hepatology preferred.
• Medical licensure in California or eligibility.
• ACGME-accredited fellowship or equivalent experience.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate/graduate level.

Responsibilities

• Provide hepatology outpatient consultations and inpatient care.
• Perform endoscopic procedures and share inpatient duties.
• Supervise fellows, residents, and medical students during clinical care.
• Deliver lectures and contribute to teaching activities.
• Engage in translational or clinical research and scholarly activities.
• Collaborate with transplant surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
