The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia Health system is seeking a Transplant Financial Coordinator to guide patients through insurance coverage, financial planning, and authorization requirements for transplantation. You will support patients and clinicians to move forward with confidence in a high-stakes, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating patient financials and insurance processes.
• Ability to review insurance information for accuracy and identify barriers.
• Strong written and verbal communication with patients and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Meet with transplant patients and families to discuss financial aspects and next steps.
• Develop individualized financial plans for navigating the transplant process.
• Coordinate transplant request authorizations and follow issues through to resolution.
• Review insurance information for accuracy and identify coverage barriers, communicating concerns promptly.
• Partner with clinical, administrative, and payer contacts to move cases forward.
• Manage multiple time-sensitive priorities while maintaining clear documentation.
