Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL seeks an Organ Preservation Specialist to support perfusionists during cardiac and transplant procedures. You will operate organ preservation equipment, assist with organ benching, and manage documentation and scheduling.

The role requires at least an associate degree or related certification, with a minimum of two years healthcare experience and active licensure or ABTC-related credentials. On-call coverage is required, with variable shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years progressive healthcare experience or hospital-based procedural areas.
• Education: Associates degree or certified surg tech/paramedic/LPN/ABTC certification.
• CTP certification within 12 months of hire; BLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for organ recovery and preservation.
• Assist with organ benching and documentation of procedures.
• Provide patient transport and inventory management, monitor biologic implants.
• Ensure sterilization and cleaning of equipment; manage scheduling and paperwork.
