Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Assistant II for the Transplant Clinic in Seattle. The role supports patient care, lab coordination, and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic flow. The MA II collaborates with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced oncology setting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, WA CMA certification, ABHES/CAAHEP MA training, and BLS. The position is 1.0 FTE, onsite with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an MA program accredited by ABHES/CAAHEP.
• Certified Medical Assistant in WA required.
• Surgical Technologist Registration in WA within 30 days of hire as applicable.
• Current BLS Health Provider Card (or equivalent) renewed every two years.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in email and word processing systems.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient flow and clinic operations under supervision.
• Perform duties in patient care and administrative tasks as described in MA II responsibilities.
• Assist with nurse triage and blood draws as directed.
• Coordinate outside labs and communicate results to patients.
• Support process improvements and clinic workflow optimization.
