Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, based in Seattle, is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care in the Transplant Clinic. You will assist practitioners, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks in a fast-paced cancer care setting.

The role requires MA program completion (ABHES/CAAHEP) or equivalent military training, WA state CMA certification, BLS, and 2+ years in healthcare. Competitive benefits and salary offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant program offered by ABHES/CAAHEP accredited school; or military training may satisfy requirements.
• Certified Medical Assistant in WA state and familiar with state practice standards.
• Current BLS cardiac/CPR and renewal every two years.
• 2+ years relevant work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient flow and clinic operations for assigned providers.
• Process leave paperwork, prior authorizations and prescription refills.
• Answer and triage incoming calls; coordinate lab results and notify patients of norms.
• Serve as preceptor/trainer and assist with nurse triage.
• Perform blood draws and reinforce billing/coding compliance.
• Facilitate distribution of clinical contacts and care management tools.
• Monitor clinic flow and adjust to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Collaborate with nursing supervisor on operational improvements.
