University of Utah Health is seeking a dedicated transplant coordinator RN to educate recipients, families, and donors, coordinate donor information and admissions, and oversee post-transplant education and follow-up. The role involves collaboration with physicians and nursing staff in a 24/7 health system.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN license in Utah, have a CCTC within three years, and preferably a BSN.

Qualifications

• Requires CCTC within three years of hire.
• Current RN license to practice in Utah (or obtain within 90 days).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; Licenses and certifications must be maintained.

Responsabilités

• Educates recipients, families, and potential donors about transplantation, risks, outcomes, and responsibilities.
• Evaluates and screens transplant candidates and donors using predefined criteria; schedules labs and procedures.
• Schedules live donor transplants and assists in procedures.
• Coordinates donor information, cross matches, and admissions.
• Educates patients and families about medications, home monitoring, and follow-up care.
• Participates in committees, care conferences, and continuing education on transplantation.
