Job summary

CFLeads, on behalf of BBCA, is seeking a Project Director (independent contractor) to direct and manage day-to-day BBCA activities, including learning program design, mapping project oversight, and coordination with CFLeads.

The role emphasizes collaboration with CFLeads, travel across North America, and engaging with partner foundations to advance equity and inclusive outcomes in communities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting transnational community development in the Americas.
• Experience with community philanthropy and local development in US/Latin America.
• Strong, collaborative project management and facilitation skills.
• Familiarity with BBCA work and CFLeads collaboration.
• Bilingual English and Spanish; ability to translate both ways.
• Willingness to travel to BBCA meetings and site visits in North America.
• Customer service orientation with warm, responsive approach.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Design, development and management of a learning program for community foundations engaged in BBCA mapping projects.
• Oversight of 11+ community asset and needs mapping projects.
• Strategy development and coordination of any new grantmaking processes of the BBCA.
• Planning of BBCA gatherings, including agenda development, speaker identification, facilitation and logistics support.
• Coordination and management of BBCA partners to advance BBCA activities.
• Facilitation of BBCA Coordination Team and Steering Committee meetings, which meet bi-monthly and annually.
• Recruitment of BBCA participants and ongoing relationship-building.
• All tasks conducted in close partnership with CFLeads, who will oversee the work.
