Job summary

PPL Electric Utilities, serving 1.4 million homes across its eastern and central Pennsylvania territory, seeks a scheduling professional for Transmission and Distribution substations. This role focuses on long-range planning, resource allocation, and coordinating with field crews to ensure work is prepared for execution.

Candidates should have 5+ years in engineering or field operations, and a valid PA driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering, construction/operating assignments, field operations, resource scheduling or design.
• Valid PA Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the transmission and distribution substation schedule and ensure all work is planned and ready for field implementation.
• Schedule all PPL long range transmission and distribution substation large project work for current and future years.
• Makes resource determination of PL versus contractor crews for short and long-range transmission and distribution substation work.
• Conduct weekly work plan meetings to communicate priorities to foremen and planning coordinators and assure understanding of the status of current week and future weeks work.
• Conduct weekly work plan meetings with Contractors and Planning Coordinators to communicate priorities and assure understanding of the status of current week.
• Places long range TCC/SO permit requests for current and future years
• Participate in weekly switching call to define T-1 switching schedule.
• Monitor transmission and distribution substation budget for BI and large projects
• Performs other duties as assigned
